What: Pig Minds Brewing Comedy Night
When: Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 7:00 pm
Where: Pig Minds Brewing Co., Machesney Park, United States, 61115
Description: Pig Minds Brewing Co. Comedy Night January 27th 2018 #FREE // 8pm Host: Suzi Zdankiewicz Guest Feature: Alex Savant Main Feature: Mary Zee Headliner: Greg Bach Host Suzi Zdankiewicz is an up and comer in the wonderful world of comedy. She has come along way in the very short time she has been doing stand-up. From hitting up open mics to being booked for shows in Chicago as the suburbs she is the resident host of FATS PRODUCTIONS presents: monthly showcase at Pig Minds Brewing Co. At the end of the summer she had the honor of being asked to Host the comedy showcase which headlined America's Got Talent star, Tom Cotter. Suzi's comedy will let you get to know Suzi, her life observations to whacky relationship antidotes that she has to offer. Guest Feature Alex Savant is a young up and coming award winning comedian from Rockford and Co-Producer of the renown collective Chill Pill Comedy. Quickly climbing through the ranks of comics in the state-line area, Alex has found a voice that sounds just as comfortable shouting over a pool hall jukebox as it does delivering biting satire in the area’s most historic theaters. This stiff upper lip style follows in the working class traditions of Pryor and Carlin - critical but not thoughtless, unabashed but not crass. Not afraid to punch above his weight class, Alex can be seen performing across the Midwest. Main Feature Mary Zee is a comic and writer based in Chicago, IL. Her high-energy storytelling endears audiences with a style that is smart but silly, nerdy yet loveable. In Chicago, she's a frequent performer at Beast Women Cabaret and has been featured on the "Your Stories" podcast. Mary has performed all over the Midwest including the Milwaukee Comedy Festival and the Accidental Comedy Festival in Cleveland. In 2016, Mary debuted her solo show Mary Zee Follows the Rules, a light-hearted and earnest look at being a life-long goodie-two-shoes. Headliner Greg Bach has called the Milwaukee comedy scene home for over ten years now, but he has performed all over the world. People in Chicago, New York, Berlin, Manchester and Loves Park have found him rather amusing. Greg has performed with many national headliners, including Hari Kondabolu, W. Kamau Bell, Eddie Pepitone, BD Freeman, Godfrey, Tom Clark, Shane Mauss and Chastity Washington. He has been a featured performer at the Milwaukee Comedy Festival, The Cream City Comedy Festival, the Laughing Devil Festival in New York City, Milwaukee Punk Fest, and Milwaukee Pride as well as the Derby City Comedy Festival in Louisville, KY. He serves as co-producer of the Milwaukee Comedy Festival and is the Managing Director of Milwaukee Comedy. In 2016, he created The Badger Times Journal Report, which he hosts.

What: Delilah DeWylde at Pig Minds Brewing!
When: Friday, May 04, 2018 at 7:00 pm
Where: Pig Minds Brewing Co., Machesney Park, United States, 61115
Description: Join us for a free show at Pig Minds! We've very excited to bring our rockabilly show to Machesney Park! This is our first time visiting Pig Minds, and we hope to see you there :) A long time ago, at the dawn of the Atomic Age, a succession of no-good punks and ill-mannered teenagers took the best of American roots music — hard-partying honky tonk country, searing gutbucket blues and lonesome hillbilly twang — and distilled it into a potent moonshine known as rockabilly. This combustible formula, passed down through the generations, forms the heart of the revved-up stylings of Delilah DeWylde. Delilah DeWylde got her start in 2004. Just like rockabilly originators Johnny Cash, Bill Haley and Carl Perkins, this Michigander cut her teeth on steel-guitar driven country in the style popularized by Hank Williams, Ernest Tubb and Webb Pierce. But the draw of the big beat was irresistible, and over time the band’s approach has become sharper and tighter. Not self-consciously retro, Delilah remains committed to hand-crafted American music that stands at the crossroads of creativity and craftsmanship, liberally drawing from honky tonk country, rockabilly and surf music Bandleader Delilah DeWylde (upright bass/lead vocals) is veteran of the West Michigan music scene and an alumna of rockabilly institution DangerVille. Her out-sized stage presence is the centerpiece of the show — one minute singing sweetly, the next slapping her bass into submission. Next to the sound and fury of Miss Delilah stands cool character Lee Harvey on electric guitar. His serious demeanor on-stage reveals his reverence for the precision and technique of the “original” guitar gods—the likes of Paul Burlison, Billy Byrd, Cliff Gallup, Grady Martin, Dick Dale, Luther Perkins, Scotty Moore and Don Rich. Taking their task seriously, this duo (and sometimes) trio plies its trade the old-fashioned way – live and in person, logging more than 120 gigs a year throughout the Midwest and beyond. The band also has recorded three LPs (as they used to call ’em): 2008’s Honky Tonk Heart, 2010’s The Price You Pay and Win My Love - recorded in 2012. See more at www.delilahdewylde.com
